Ashtanga Eco-Yoga Weekend 1st-3rd August at Coed Hills Rural Artspace, Vale of Glamorgan £180-220pp (£180 3-4 sharing tipi, or £220 2 sharing) The Weekend: Come to tune into yourself and the beauty of Coed Hills Rural Artspace. Accomodation is in hand-crafted tipis in the garden, with compost toilets and solar showers on hand (or indoor bathroom for the faint hearted!). Delicious vegetarian food will be freshly sourced and prepared, alongside the yoga you will have time to explore the sculpture trails and woodland paths or the heritage coast nearby. We will have an evening yoga session on Friday at 6-730pm followed by dinner (for those who can arrive in time) with four further yoga/ meditation sessions during the weekend. You are welcome to come from 3pm on Friday and if possible arrive by 5pm to settle in, the last yoga/ meditation session will end by 12.30 on Sunday- leaving you free to relax for the afternoon or head home. www.coedhills.co.uk. Yoga: Whether you are new to yoga or an old hand, this is a genuine opportunity to see your understanding & practice of yoga flourish. The morning practice of Ashtanga yoga is designed to cleanse and purify the body by building up heat through the breath and sequence of postures performed. Separate sessions will be held for beginners and experienced practitioners, although you are welcome to attend both sessions. With a maximum group of 15 you are guaranteed all the attention you need to deepen your understanding and practice of Ashtanga yoga. Afternoon sessions will support your Ashtanga practice, exploring the foundations- breath and bandha as well as looking at ways to release and relax within the postures. You will also be guided in meditation to focus and calm the mind and bring about a sense of wellbeing. The teacher: Laura has practiced Ashtanga yoga with world-renowned teachers, including Sharath Jois, John Scott and Nancy Gilgoff with whom she has studied both Primary and Second series adjustment clinics. Laura has been teaching for 7 years with qualifications from Yoga Alliance, Rishikul Ashram, Sitaram Partnership and Birthlight. She has practiced yoga since 1990. Trains to Cardiff leave London Paddington every 30 minutes, from Cardiff we can arrange collection at 2-2.30pm (£10pp) or taxis are available.
